A Few of the 29(00) Mistakes I Have Made as a Social Entrepreneur

If I had to describe myself in one word, it would be unconventional. If I had to pick the road I would travel, it would be the busiest. See, what did I tell you!

Entrepreneurship isn’t a road for everyone and it certainly isn’t for the faint of heart. I always like to say that every day is the best and worst day of my life. Are you still reading? If you are, I think you are ready to hear 5 of the 29 Mistakes Every Social Entrepreneur Makes.
Many “experts” will stand before you in the course of your life and tell you that you can be successful if you do things exactly the way they have. Also, it would help to just be them. So please make that happen.
As I said above, I chose the road most traveled. While creating something that has never existed like DoGoodBuyUs.
Lesson number 1) is that there are proven ways to do things or as it has been phrased to me, general business rules still apply. The ones who have succeeded have followed the principles that make for a solid business, like keeping good records, as an example. No matter how innovative your venture.
2) If you aren’t making mistakes, you are definitely not trying hard enough. We learn way more from what goes wrong in our life than what goes right. Keep pushing the envelope and you will be better off for it.
3) For how long? Before you ask that question, you should be asking about your level of passion for the project. What were you thinking about before you started reading this article? Was it your business, project, or idea? If not, time to stop reading.
If you go to bed physically exhausted but your mind never stops racing, you have found it. When I first started, I found every minute to work. In between dinner and dessert or commercial breaks or, or, or. No time was a bad time to be working.
4) If the above sounds like you, it will take quite some time to see the fruit of your labor. So number 4) is celebrate every small victory. You will hit the highest highs and the lowest lows. You will only keep your sanity by taking it one day at a time.
5) You have teased me quite enough, HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE? For the answer to that, see my presentation on our blog at DoGoodBuyUs
