SocialChange.is is a story, idea, and resource sharing platform for social entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs to share the experiences, insights, and lessons learned in creating innovative forms of social impact. Our mission is to connect readers to the ideas, people, and organizations creating the future of social change and empower the next generation of change makers create bold and innovative social impact.

Our Contributors include social entrepreneurs building new systems, business models, and platforms within the for-profit and non-profit sectors as well as social intrapreneurs amplifying impact and innovating within existing organizations and government. The SocialChange.is platform provides change makers from around the world a central place to share stories of passion, success, failure, and personal growth as well as tools, resources and expert advice to help aspiring change makers  transform their own ideas for social good into reality.

Marcos SalazarFounder of SocialChange.is
Marcos Salazar is the founder of SocialChange.is and co-founder of Be Social Change, a community and education platform. Marcos is the former Vice President of Programs at The White House Project and a technology strategiest for Girl Scouts of the USA. He is the author of The Turbulent Twenties Survival Guide, an expert speaker on the psychology of life after college, Gen Y, and Millennial topics, owns two hyperlocal clothing companies in New York City and Washington, DC., and is a former elected official in New York City. Marcos has a psychology degree from Amherst College and a Masters in Organizational Management as well as a certification in Leadership Coaching from The George Washington University.

Jessica Epstein – SocialChange.is Editor
Jessica is a citizen of the world who has lived in 13 countries in Europe, Asia, and North and South America. For the past 10 years she has worked in publishing, writing and editing and coordinating the creation of children’s books and other publications used by nonprofits around the world. Jessica was homeschooled and has a lifelong passion for learning, languages, connecting and communicating with people–in as many countries and cultures as possible, and for doing things a bit differently than most people do. She has recently returned to her native New York and is excited about working with SocialChange.is and playing a part in its mission of connecting ideas and people toward further social change.

Zuzanna Chmielewska – Social Media Manager
Zuzanna is a social change activist and traveller who recently completed her bachelor studies in social communication in Poznań University of Economics in Poland. She also spent a semester in Izmir University of Economics in Turkey, studying marketing. After her first year of studies she went to India to work with AIESEC (global NGO for students), as a cultural education teacher for indian students. One year later she came back to India and spent 6 months working in corporate environment -marketing and HR departments- in Mumbai and Jaipur. She is currently based in Malaysia working on implementation of CSR programmes in one of local companies. At the same time she is writing her master thesis about bottom of the pyramid approach in India.

Mustapha Abokede - Senior SocialChange.is Researcher
Mustapha Abokede is an experienced business advisor and budding social entrepreneur who combines his business skills with his passion for social issues to address challenges at the intersection of business and society. He is a member of the Acumen Fund Global Fellows 2013 class and has worked with KPMG Advisory Services, Mobil Oil, RISO Nigeria and at a community development Council funded by one of the largest global oil firms. During his 4+ year stint with KPMG Advisory Services, he worked on several consulting projects across several industries including manufacturing, energy, financial services and telecommunications. In addition to his private sector experience, he served as a pioneer intern with Coalitions for Change and also volunteered with organizations such as the YouthBank Initiative and EduAid in Nigeria. He is passionate about driving adoption of renewable energy solutions and consulting for growing businesses, while also blogging and travelling in between. Mustapha holds a B.Eng. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Technology of Nigeria and a Certificate in Oil and Gas Project Finance and Risk Management.
